·        Leaves kidney shaped and divided many times but not separated into leaflets

·        Basal leaves have long petioles while the ones higher up the stem

·        Yellow flowers with five petals are overlapping and showy

·        Meadows

·        Roadsides

·        Serious weed in pastures

·        Moist or heavy soils
